 Q .Does it hurt?

A. By wearing all the equipment we provide and by abiding by all the rules, then no it
should not hurt. However, you may get hit at closer range and then you will feel a bit of a sting and it may bruise the skin.

Q.How old do players have to be to play paintball?
A. At Forest Combat the youngest age is 11 years(though must be in year seven).
This is on the advice of the U.K.P.S.F. and insurance company
Q.What age do you have to be to purchase pyrotechnics (smoke bombs/paint grenades?
A.The minimum age to purchase a pyrotechnic is 18 years.
This is governed by the Firework Safety Regulations 1997 However, pyrotechnics are used by marshals in all sessions.

Q.Is there a minimum group size?
A. As we only take group bookings, the minimum is 10 players. However, if you are a small group, there may be the opportunity to join you up with another appropriate group to make the numbers up, if all players are happy with this.
From 2011, the minimum group size for site exclusivity is 15. Though if mixed it will be with an appropriately aged group, however there is still a good chance that it will be just your group on site with under 15 players.

Q.How many paintballs will a player need?
A. The amount of paintballs that players go through can vary greatly (please discuss this at time of booking).
With the majority of our junior birthday bookings, parents pay the game fee (£10)and players purchase their own extra balls, making it far more affordable to cover the cost of a birthday party group booking. This has always worked well in the past and we provide a birthday invite template for you to use that highlights the fact that further paintballs are required.

Q.When are you open?
A. We are open all year and can operate any day, though weekends are most popular. We can also be flexible on times to meet your individual needs.

 Q.
What are paintballs made from?
A. Paintballs are made from a gelatine capsule and contain a brightly coloured dye. This dye is water soluble and washes out easily, they are also non-toxic and biodegradable.

Q. Is it necessary to pre-book?
A. Yes, we only operate on the days we have a booking, you will need to provisionally
book your preferred date and we will send you out all the confirmation details and necessary documents.

Q. I am arranging this for a birthday party, can I bring along a cake and snacks etc.?
A. We provide a pizza lunch for all players, but we are happy for you to bring along
other party food (just discuss at time of booking).

 Q. Do you take school /club bookings?
A. We welcome schools and clubs and are happy to provide copies of our risk  assessment & insurance policy. We can adjust our regular package to meet your specific needs and budget.
We can also provide feedback from some of our regular school visitors
if you wish.

Q.Do you allow spectators on the site?
We welcome one adult to watch the event in the case of our younger players. However we do not generally encourage spectators on the site as there still  poses a small risk of injury if a player breaches the rules. However, we appreciate that the odd parent/friend may wish to watch the proceedings. If you have any spectators attending can you please request a spectator declaration at time of booking (minimum age to spectate is the same as to play, 11 year 7).Max. 3 spectators allowed on site.
